Any advice or help towards a solution or answer as to why it's doing this, would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if it's driver related or not. I have tried to research this online but have not come near any possible solutions. I've tried an S-cable in place of the A/V, and I get no picture or sound. What is really weird, when looking at the Directv guide, the channel goes into an upper right corner within a box and the remaining screen is filled by the guide-the guide itself does not come and go, only the box with the moving picture does. I have a honestech audio recorder 2.0 deluxe it worked ok on windows xp but I now have windows 8.1 I can load the recorder but it will not work is it not compatible with windows 8.1 thanks Go to their website to see if there is a driver for 8.1 If not, then youre out of luck until one is produced. The video soon began to come and go intermittently. It started working fine until the 3rd day with new rig. As far as I know that USB device is not compatible with Windows 10, many users have reported this same problem with Honestech VHS to DVD 2. I just bought a new rig and had Honestech setup just how it should be. I work from home and have the Honestech device setup to my Directv box so I can listen and view tv on the same computer I work with.

I have a brand new Inspiron 3847 with 8gbRAM, 1TB HD, i3 3.60GHz processor, 64-bit, Intel HD Graphics 4400, Windows 8.1.

I'm currently having issues with my Honestech VHS to DVD 7.0. Not all homemade VHS tapes can legally be converted. Not sure where I would correctly post this. Homemade VHSs to DVDs are possible - still need a honestech license eventually.
